Hi everyone, so I know this is a cheeky post but I am desperately looking for a part loan or to help out with someone's horse. I am 18 years old and had ridden at a riding school since the age of 12 until fairly recently; I am competent in walk, trot, canter and have jumped up to 2'6. As part of my college course I was required to do at least 5 weeks of work experience and so I spent over 2 months in the summer working at the riding school where I learnt various aspects of basic horse care such as mucking out, grooming, tacking and rugging up, feeding, leading and handling etc. I completely loved my time there and I do not mind hard work in the slightest, even when I was required to poo pick fields for several hours at a time or muck out a large yard of stables. I am always looking to further my knowlege and skills with horses, I know that you never stop learning.

I did have a loan horse for the first time this November, unfortunately she proved to be just too big and strong for me, we just weren't well suited to each other and I must admit that she did knock my confidence slightly so I made the decision to stop with the loan. I am 4'11 tall, weigh 7.5 stones and do prefer riding ponies or cobs, I did feel out of place on my loan mare as she was a 15.3hh ISH (pea on a mountain lol). Ideally I am looking for a horse or pony that can help me to gain back my confidence. I can make a financial contribution of up to £20 per week and am looking for anything that is near to Northwich, Cheshire.

I know this is a real long shot but thank you for reading, Terry's chocolate oranges to anyone who got this far. :)

Not learnt to drive yet so my dad would have to ferry me about, the riding school I went to was in Comberbach and I live in Northwich so something as near to northwich as possible is needed. Lol I realise finding something is probably near on impossible :p

It's a real shame your in Northwich as I have a really gentle 14.2 Arab games pony who is always keen to be ridden. We also have a 30 year old Arab who is really good with nervous people. Just a bit too far for you I think.

There are quite a few yards up round you isn't there? I'm the other side of Cheshire so not too sure. I bet now it's coming into exam time people will want to loan out/need help.
Just put loads of adverts in local tack shops and even riding schools or livery yards.

Too far from me unfortunately, my dad won't drive me a long distance. Thank you for offering though. :)
