My dog keeps trying to get my coffee and ive just found out when my brother has him he gives him a cup on a morning. I now caffine is not that good for people. Thanks
Is coffee bad for dogs??

Wouldn't have thought 1 cup of weak coffee would do him any harm. My Mums' dog is always nicking tea if they put their cup down where he can reach it. Doesn't seem to have done him any harm.
In saying that I am not a vet and I have no idea so might be worth checking with someone who knows what they are talking about!!

If enough is eaten it can be fatal for both dogs and cats. The lethal dose of caffeine for dogs and cats is 150mg/kg body weight, and regular instant coffee contains over 60mg caffeine per teaspoon - so for a 3 kg cat 8 teaspoons of coffee would be potentially fatal, and there is NO ANTIDOTE.
