Is Express Eventing Happening?

As the headline, does anyone know if this is going to be happening this year and if so where and when? I know that there was a lot of problems las year and maybe thought that people would not want to be involved again, is that right?
 
not sure if it is..but i agree with Nailed - if it is on i will stay away. I agree carlo mio that if it is on i think lot of people will stay away because of what happened last time xx
 
i haven't heard a word, so maybe it's died a death...
if they are going to try to do it again, the concept needs a LOT of tweaking, to put it mildly. i think the only ones who enjoyed it were those who won big money, not quite in the spirit of our sport...
 
Its is still something they are definitely planning on doing again. I believe there have been alot of changes in the company that is running it, and tweaking in various areas, hence nothing this year...

I think I read something somewhere and it suggested it wasn't happening. Erm, possibly was there something in British Eventing magazine by the guy who created it - that may possibly be where I sasw it

The guy who provides all the money for it I believe is still under the impression it may well happen again in the future

I hope it does go ahead again and I hope it filters down to the rest of us low lifes because the format would siut me and my horse.
 
I have heard that it is going ahead. I think now that riders understand the format a bit more they will enter horses more suited to it.
 
The website for express eventing hasnt been updated since last year.

A friend of mine took part, she thought it was great but it suited her speedy little TB and she got a much needed HGV license and lorry out of her prize money!!

I hope it goes ahead too and also comes to lower levels. I know last years event involved a tragic accident but horses die at Badminton too but we still go there!!
 
Not sure I want Express Eventing to continue. Fixed fences in a small area and Huge amounts of money looks like an accident waiting to happen. In front of a large audience.
 
It wasn't just the accident though, I wasn't enjoying it before that happened, it just wasn't something that was enjoyable to watch. There were all sorts of misses going on, the ground looked difficult, and I felt nervous if that makes sense.

But the, JAS works well enough. So who knows.
