I have a rising 6 year old ISH, he is a lovely build and very handsome if I do say so myself. He has no breeding on his passport but I have contacted the lady ho bought him as a weanling and she said he was very well bred for eventing, hence the reason she bought him as this is what she does. To cut a long story short, he lost his eye as a 2 year old, she worked hard to gain his confidence but, deciding it was a bit mch to ask of him to aim for advanced eventing she rehomed him to a girl local to her who turned out to be a total muppet, who ran him into the ground and totally took away his confidence. When I bought him he was very unsure of everything and his immediate defence was o refuse to go forwards and then stand up, he has not done this formonths now and tries his best to do things although he is green, he works in an outline, has been hacked on his own but is a little spooky, and is now willing to approach scary looking jumps and get over them, he is very scopey loose Anyway I feel like I am totally letting him down but my confidence has vanished bit by bit after a few falls off other horses and I am thinking it would be better for him to go to someone more capable and able than me, he would easily BSjA with a bit more time and a confident rider. Anyway sorry for the waffle but would he be saleable? I was thinking around the 1500 mark x:o

Yes he would sell as a project horse. But with no proof of breeding, he's not straightforward, he's nervy & has no comp record I wouldn't pay 1500 when I could get similar projects for less. Cost of keep alone for the time taken to get him low level bs would make it cheaper to save up & buy one already doing it.
