anyone elses fields been slightly icey?

And I thought my puddles were impressive! I moved yards the weekend before Christmas and have only seen the field for two days so far when it didn't look like an ice rink. I#m itching to put som electric fencing up to keep her off the worst bits but I somehow don't think I'd get it in the ground at the mo.

OMG! I honestly don't think I've ever seen anything like it!

Ours is hard now, with heavy frosts, but still perfectly grazable (is that even a word?).

Horses are led out a bit tippy-toe over the gateway as it was previously muddy, so now rutted, but the field itself is fine.

well obviously we didnt turn out on it. i couldnt even walk across.lol
luckily its gone back to a normal hard frost/frozen ground
think it was beacuse we had loads of rain onto frozen ground, which then froze to a nice smooth finish....

Get your skates and hockey sticks out!

If there is a patch like that here then within hours there is a gang of kids (and not so little kids) and goal posts playing hockey on it! Corn fields, lakes, ponds, rivers, anything will do!

Hay grows on this in the summer!

I hope the drainage in your field is good!
