Horse needs a load of new bandaging stuff... just wondering if its worth getting vet to bring some, or if its cheaper going to the shop myself!

prob buying it yourself, however, if you are bandaging a wound or something for the first time, its often better to get the vet to come to show you how to do it (not saying your incompetent or anything like that, just some places are a pain in the arse to bandage!) as there can be a risk of bandage sores if applied in correctly.

If you are just reapplying a bandage you already know how to do, then ye prob buying yourself (and you can get some really funky vet wrap too, which vets don't have! Coz we are boring and like plain blue and red generally! Although I will have a car FILLEd with pink!)

Usually you can get it off the internet (or at our local farmers shop) cheaper than the vets get it off their suppliers. OH often suggests to owners to provide their own, even if he's the one dressing it!

brilliant thats great thanks! May have to get one load of vet, but in the long term may work out cheaper. The bandage that I did all fell off (whoops) but YO fixed it for me so no probs with the bandaging!

Our vets have the funky pink! Although having said that definitely cheaper to buy it elsewhere, as most vets would probably agree, they can't compete with the places who bulk buy huge amounts.
