Is it cheeky to ask your RI to take pics of you during a lesson?

May be a stupid question, but I've not had any lessons in years and I wouldn't mind getting a few pics this afternoon. Is it really cheeky of me to ask the RI to take some though?:confused:

I don't think you should ask. Don't you want her concentrating on what you and your horse are doing?

Can you get a friend to come along and take some pics?

I had lessons on my RI's (also my YO) horses and she took pictures for me as I wanted to see how I actually looked position wise during my lesson especially riding another horse.
When I had a lesson on the working hunter course, she took a video of me doing the whole course after I'd jumped it a couple of times with her instruction so I could see where I was going wrong and where I could improve. No harm in asking for a few at the end of the lesson? :) or take a relative/friend with you if you feel cheeky?

You should ask! Maybe not for her to be taking pictures throughout the session, but perhaps 3 or 4? However, if you can get a friend to go along, that might be better :)
It's very helpful to have photos and videos!

I am an instructor and I often offer to take pics/videos of clients in the lesson so they can see what I'm on about! :)

I would definitely ask, I can't see why they would refuse. Just ask for s few though, ie 5mins only with the camera, so it doesn't take over the lesson :)

I reckon first lesson no as they'll want to concentrate but perhaps a couple start and end. Or get a friend to take some before. I always like photos and last instructor did vid and photos ad was what I needed to actually see what I needed to change rather than think I was correct when I wasn't. I think it's a brilliant way of learning but shouldn't get in the way of a lesson.
