Is it difficult to put up stables in area of OSNB?

Is it difficult to get planning permission for stables or even sheds in an area of outstanding natural beauty? Any personal experiences would be very welcome as we are house hunting and sometimes see lovely properties in areas of OSNB but with no stables. Do we buy and risk being turned down or is there a good chance of getting permission?
 
I'd look at options without pp. Theres a certain sq m of concrete you can normally get away without pp (30?) and I'd set up shelters on skids/containers for tack etc and check legalities on that.
 
(my experience wasn't horsey but paintball centre) containers for toilet, kitchen and shop and marquees for seating areas as containers aren't a fixed building. Can't remember if we had to move or not every few years though. Think one of them was shifted a couple of metres per 3years but that's from a few years ago murky recollection
 
The planning etc is now on line uk wide (if you google you will find the link).

If you dont want to put permanent stables down ie put a mobile shelter up you mustnt put a permanent base down so it ie must be on earth(I did consider matts if it got wet but never needed it). I have this and its dry as a bone inside. But our local authority came up with some daft rule(which wasnt on their website as I decided to ring them..mistake) to say it had to be moved from one field to another(although timings were not stipulated...personally I think jobs worth just wanted planning permission application to get a fee..ie money generator). But I would say just have a good look at your local area and speak to anyone else who wont snitch on you if you just do it(thats what most people end up doing with mobile shelters. Proper fixed stables you will need planning.
 
We have put up stables and built a manege in an AONB. Planning were ok to be fair to them. A few issues with the neighbours and we had to comply with materials and colours that they wanted us to use but that was it.

I wouldnt let it put you off the perfect house but it's always worth an informal chat with the planners and the parish council before you commit

My friend did it too. Although it was hard work.

We have built on greenbelt, and that in itself was hard enough. I think a lot depends on the local planners. Ours are pretty awful.
