I'm currently at Uni and my horse lives down here with me. However, this summer the tenancy on my house runs out 1st July, and my next house tenancy starts 8th September. Due to having my horse here I haven't been home since the summer (inc. missing christmas) so I could really do with going home for the 10 week gap. Is it fair to move my horse 2.5 hours each way just for 10 weeks?
My options are: to sublet and stay here at uni for the summer
Go home and transport him with me
Or put him on a short term full loan at his current yard while I go home
I'd much rather take him with me because I don't see the point in my summer holidays without him! I'm also concerned about being stuck without livery if we go for 10 weeks and then go back to uni to find our stable has been relet. Then I'd be in a real pickle
He's 5 and loads like a charm, doesn't bash about but is a bit nervous when he first gets off the trailer. Has settled into his two most recent yards literally in about half an hour (as long as there are other horses and a big ol hay net!)
