I have the vet coming out but just wanted to check that it probably her teeth before i start acting like i know it all!
My horse has started to headshake when i ask her to go on the bit which she did not do previously. Also she is very reluctant to let me have a contact down the right rein/right side of her mouth. she will move her head to stop me having contact[but will still bend through her back.]
i dont think it's her saddle it appears to fit well[not too tight, doesnt slip either]
anyone had anything similar? She had awful teeth when i got her and threw me off from shaking her head violently when i went to try her!
thankss.

Well I think you're going down the right path. Illimate the obvious first; if not that, then down to back and tack checking!! Hope everything goes ok - let us know how you get on

vet came on tuesday-thankfully i was right.
She has a displaced tooth which could have been causing her paint and also sharp hooks at the back.
Vet was surprised as she had her teeth done not that long ago, so she is not onto every 6 motnhs for rasping.
Schooled her last night and she was a star, far happier!
Very relieved
