No. Its ok to have a swig from your hip flask. The Royals have been doing it for centuries. It is illegal to be drunk and in charge of a horse though.

Thats what I meant, is it illegal to be over the limit! Is it the same limit as for driving, and while we are on the subject is it illegal to drink a vodka and coke while you are driving if it doesn't take you over the limit?? Do I sound bored? :D

Don't take horsey on the public highway - you can be done for a number of things if you annoy a police-person.
Drunk & disorderly.
Drunk whilst in charge of livestock (but try proving a horse is not livestock - eg not cattle/sheep etc!)

Have a great evening DD :D

(ooh-err - even your name when abbreviated comes as alcoholic!! :D )

Yes. Years ago my friend was taken to court and fined for being drunk in charge of a horse. A police officer had to rider her horse back to the yard. :p
