Is it just me or are the photos of different horses?

I know what you mean - at a glance, it does look like two different horses. But it could simply be a difference in his coat - he obviously looks a lot darker in one, so maybe different time of year? If you look closely the markings on his legs seem to add up - he must just be very non-symetrical! Handsome boy though - in both photos :)

I don't think so - just taken at different times of year and from different sides.

Don't forget, if a horse or pony has regularly Pony Clubbed it is worth getting in contact with organisers of that branch to get references.

mmm i know what you mean but I think its the difference in lighting that makes them look so different-reckon its the same horse tbh x ps hes lovely :D

first one is skewbald and second piebald I prefer the look of the first one (skewbald) but again I would be wrong

But if you look on the first photo, he appears to have a completley brown stomach.
In the second one he has a white triangle like marking on his underside.

I'm not sure tbh.

Actually that last arguement over the belly patch clinches it - it is the same horse. just the angle it's taken at. Look where that white mark on the belly begins - just behind the girth in both shots. You can see the edge of it clearly if you look closely enough on the first pic.

you cant see under the belly properly in the first pic though, and the white patch is more to the left side.
hmmm i dont know now, i wouldnt imagine the horse in top photo would have any difficlty jumping the fence in the bottem photo so would be strange if they did have two different horses  x

My 'Piebald' goes bay roan skewbald in summer, black in winter and a dodgy bay skewbals when clipped, he also looks like 2 different horses

Hmmm I think its is the same horse. You have a photo of the near side and photo of the off side, but you look closely at the markings specifically the ones on his chest over the chest and top of front legs and across the neck where theres a change in mane colour, these look to match up between both photos. Must be lighting/angle/type of camera

I think it is the same horse. Look at the front hooves. Near side is dark, offside is white/stripy in both photos. The biggest difference is the mane, in the first pic it is streaming back and in the second it is plaited. The first makes him look much chunkier than the second.:o

I think it is the same horse: if you look at the brown on each side of his neck, it matches up. Also, his tummy isn't completely brown on the first pic: if you look between the jump wings, he has some white :D

i agree that it's probably just different times of year- i know of at least 2 horses which are virtually skewbald in the winter and piebald in the summer.

my horse is also a very, very dark bay (almost browny- black) in the winter, but in the summer he's so bright bay he's nearly orange!

It looks the same horse... You can see the white mark on his belly.

Piebalds quite often go sunbleached and a bit brown in the summer.

I'd phone them by the way, rather than email.... Personal choice, but I always think people are more serious over the phone. If someone emailed me I'd just tell them to call.

It looks the same horse but that is not a private seller.

Google the phone numbers and do get references from the PC.

Oh well that was nice. I just recieved an email back from the owner saying how lovely he is and how amazingly he would suit me.
Then the last sentence was "but hes sold. Thanks"

Reckon it is the same horse. I have two coloured horses and thier colour in winter is alot darker than in summer, they do look completely differnt if u compare pics of them in January to pics of them in June!!

I think its the same horse, same markings,

Wwhat make it look different is that the photo has been taken at different times of the year so the coat is different, on picture the horse is plaited up and the horse has one wall eye so on one side the head looks different to the other.
