Is it just me, or horses in general?

i never seem to be able to relax, in terms of something needs doing to them, or i must just try this bit to see if she goes beter, or this different noseband?

today i was hacking out and instead of wearing the usual french link, i was thinking, ell i tryed a plain eggbut snaffle for flatwork last year and that worked nicely,; so i shall try it again tonight.

i have tried a grackle and drop noseband mainly because of comfort wise on her face, but still cant decide which one she goes better in, so keep swapping and changing!

another thing i do is constantly worry if my saddle is level, or if her back needs doing, which is another thing i was thinking today ( they are both really in need of a check) but once i start doing this then i try to convince myself that im not sitting square, or one stiruup is longer than the other.

does anyone else do this or is it just me

Cant say i do it, if it aint broke dont fix it. They pretty much all have two bits, one flat work one fast work and they have the same saddles from when i got them, only change stuff if teacher advises, its cheaper that way!

well i dont try to fix something that isnt broken, its just flatwork wise i want to find something that works well and what shes most comfy in.
the whole noseband situation has only come about as a year and a half ago she had a tooth root abcess so i bought a grackle to avoid the area, and found she went nicely in it.
then i was told a drop would be better to avoid the area, but im still in 2 minds to whether it is better or not!!

i just always want her to be as happy as possible with her tack, so that i can acheive the best results and know that any hard work im putting into her is as good and as effective as it can be!

I'm not. My mare has had the same tack for 13 years...apart from a new saddle about 8 years ago. Same bit, same bridle, no gadgets.
Boring, but much cheaper.
But rugs - I can't buy enough of them!
