That does seem really steep! Some sellers on ebay will list with a really low price but with a massive postage cost as you pay ebay fees on the winning bid not the postage so it is a bit of a cheeky way of getting more £ out of buyers without paying fees. Pays to check the postage before bidding!

A little steep, but I had to recently return a synthetic saddle and even 2nd class it cost £17, so if you really want it and get it for a good price, would just stomach the postage charges...

Ive noticed other sellers do the same.

You should send a complaint to ebay, as it is not a true reflection of how much it will cost to package and sent the item.

Postage isnt a way to make more profit, if you were to pick the item up in person they couldnt do that!!

thanks for the replies, i'm glad i'm not the only person who thinks it's a bit steep.

i'm gonna speak to my husband later and see if he thinks it would be worth doing, also they have no feedback. i know we all had to start somewhere but i do feel a bit uneasy.

all of the saddles i have sold via ebay (about 6? - the most recent 2 in the last 2 weeks!) it normally costs me £10 to send them via courier, 48hour service, plus with extra insurance to cover the cost of the saddle!

there are a few for sale on ebay at the moment, most seem to have £5 p&p - maybe email the seller and ask why the postage is so expensive?

This is where the 'sort by price and P+P' option comes in - that way you get a better idea of what you'll actually be paying before you even click on the item :-)

It is steep for postage but thats how it looks like they are making their money and putting it on for 1p makes it look like a bargain but it isnt because of the postage. Ask if you can pick it up in person and see what they say! :)

You could contact them and ask them to check the p&p is right, especially if they are new to ebay, might be a genuine mistake?

If you could get the postage sorted could end up with a bargain there!

well i've emailed them to ask if it's a misprint or not so just got to wait for the reply!

i also noticed it would be sent second class which should make it even more cheaper!
