is it mean to horse to go to two competitions over weekend?

Would it be mean on horse to go to a comp on sat and one on sunday (whilst I have a towing vehicle at my disposal.)

One on sat is a small local HT, not sure about sunday yet, will be something local tho!

Horse is 14, and fit, travels well

If the horse is fit and the show is local I wouldn't think so. Last summer me and Zoom went to a local SJing on the sat and dressage on the sun. I'm sure she'll be fine

our show jumpers go out fri, sat, sun on a regular basis, and sometimes on a tues too. I would say go for it while you have the towing vehicle

ive been to 2 shows in a weekend quite often.
as long as the horse is fit enough for the travel and the work.

As long as the horse is fit enough, it should be fine

Toto went to a hired arena for sj and xc training on Friday, and then dressage on Sunday, he was fine

No, as long as the horse is fit enough to do what you are asking of it, happy to travel and healthy it shouldn't be an issue! Have fun! xx
