is it my imagination or is her eye getting worse... *pics*

Eye drops were stopped several days ago at vets recomendation. I've been obsessively studying her eye and I think the area of clouded cornea has increased.. what do you think from these very bad pictures??

I think youre right, it looks more widespread in the second pic. Whats wrong with her eye, is it uvietis (sp)? I have a gelding who had outbreaks and after each one the clouding is slightly more widespread. He will eventually lose the sight in that eye and we are keeping our fingers xsd that it will take a long long time .
I would get the vet back as soon as pos. Good luck and hope she gets better soon. Mairi.

Vet beleives she was kicked, there are no signs to indicate its recurrent uveitis luckily. This is what the eye itself looked like when it first happened. The surrounding tissue was very swollen though.

In my honest opinion I dont think the eye has deteriorated, it looks to me that the only difference is the light in which the photo was taken, which gives the appearance of a thicker cloud in the second photo, and i believe that the difference in angle at which the photo has been taken is giving the impression that it is covering a larger area :-)
 
That looks like severe damage to the cornea. Is it ulcerated did the vet say? Corneal damage takes ages and ages to heal as the cornea does not have a blood supply. You may find tiny blood vessels start to grow into the cornea as the eye tries to heal itself. This is called neovascularisation and though it looks awful, is a good sign. Did the vets say if there was any sign of damage to the inside of the eye? My boy's eye began to deteriorate and the vets explained that the structure of the cornea can change and it gets "soggy" as it absorbs the fluid from INSIDE the eye which makes the cornea cloudy. Without any hesitation whatsoever, with an eye like that, I'd get an immediate referral to a specialist horse eye hospital.
