Do you think it would offend family if you spent your xmas money on things for your horse instead of yourself?
Only i bought stuff for myself yesterday from next and matalan, then today i took most of it back for refunds and went to horsatack and bought a lovely pink wetherbeeta fleece for bargain price of £19 and other yard stuff (that is needed ;) )

I feel a bit guilty but far happier with my purchases today :D

Your family gave you money to buy things your need or wanted, if those things are horsey then so be it.
If they wanted you to have a jumper or save it then they would have bought you a jumper or put the money in a savings account.

If your that worried they will be offended then a white lie won't hurt, just tell them you bought a top in the sales...they won't know you haven't. unless they inspect your wardrobe?!!!?

if it is then I've offended most of my family :) I've bought horsey stuff from amazon (plus some books for me).
I then spent £50 on them today in tack shop.

I'm happy, and surely thats the main objective? No point buying stuff you don't want. :D

Well if your Dad really enjoyed playing golf and spent his Christmas money on a new set of golf clubs that he was really looking forward to using would you be offended? I certainly wouldn't be! I consider that if I buy anything for my horse it's ultimately for me anyway!

I am delighted when my grandchildren/ neices and nephews spend the Christmas / birthday money on their favourite hobby ( as long as it's not wasted drugs, drink or cigarettes)
So I guess your folks won't be offended when they see their money is not wasted and has made you happy.
Teg :)
