I have just had a lesson with donovan, and it was mentioned that he is quite hairy, and it might be an idea to clip him before we get into the competitions. i have never had benson or donovan clipped at this time of year, so no sure if its the norm??

course it is!! I have just clipped a friend's gypsy cob for driving, he is getting too hot and carries a heavy coat, he's much happier for it!

Yes it's fine. Cob tank was clipped a couple of weeks ago. Just remember if pony has pink skinmake you use a fly rug to stop pony getting sunburnt.

I keep my mare clipped all year found, she's not a cob but she's old and fluffy and gets really sweaty and itchy so its best for her! more people wait until their winter coat starts coming through but if you keep them clipped there is nothing to worry about doing it now!

was supposed to redo the girl today but forgot the extension lead! terrible mum
