So a pony, a lovely lovely pony who has won countless championships in hand and under saddle, and sired some amazing stock of which are all doing very very well, has recently had the snip of his googlies  and commenced his new PC pony career earlier this year. He has been at a yard where they showjump ponies and have brought on and backed many over the years.

They have a fantastic little jockey and actually have this ponies' son there BSJAing quite well. He was supposed to go there forever but they no longer want him because he has a 'pole aversion'?

I don't think that anyone will want a pony that is absolutely stunning on the flat and in hand but that wont pop a fence. He had done some little tiddly ones (video proof) but apparently he doesn't like anything else. Is it unlikely for anyone to want him?

He is 100% in every other way but due to owners failing health :(, he needs to find a new forever home where he is loved as much as he is here. Have sifted through wanted ads to no avail all wanting jumping ponies or first poinies, which i quess he is a little step up from that.

He's 13.2 but has width to him so can carry small adults. It's becoming upsetting now, he's wasted in a field, and a good home is much more important than price. What should we do?? Where do i turn next? Help :(

He might have gone sour, maybe with a few months completly out of school hacking etc he'll be up for it again.

If not I'm sure someone will love him, perhaps a small adult who just doesn't want to leave the ground?

Could jumping be causing him pain? I'm sure there are plenty of small adults who would love a weight carrying pony to hack. A friend of mine who is only 5'1" has a 13.2 Sec C and they have loads of fun together.

Any reason he can't go to a showing home to be competed on the flat and act as a schoolmaster for kids in the showring, people pay a fortune for show pony schoolmasters.

I can't find anyone fitting that description. This would be his perfect home. He has popped a small cross but he's never been asked to jump in his lengthy showing career, i thought he may have been overfaced or similar. Its so sad as he is just the most stunning, smashing pony i have ever had the privilege of knowing.

And no pain, no, he's regularly checked over and is all OK.

Does he hack? I'm sure you'll find an excellent home for him. My niece, for example, is terrified of leaving the ground and a pony like yours would suit her down to the ground.

What is his temperament like? Could he be broken to harness? Driving peeps like a good mover with a bit of bone. Doesn't need to jump at all so long as they are traffic proof and not spooky.

Yes he hacks, he's a lovely little pony, i wish i could have him, i really do. His owner just wants the best for him, he's just exquisite!

He's an absolute star 100% everything to do. He probably could yes, his lines probably hold the Broomell ponies from the late Mary Bassett so his family will probably have driven in times gone by.

Can you PM me pics and info? Have a friend looking :)

Im not sure that his owner would want me to give out details of him, it's hard enough as it is separating with a lifelong legacy she's created around him. Though if you PM me with what they are looking for, who he'd be for (family pony, competition ect) and what they are doing (pc/showing/dressage ect) with contact details i'll be sure to pass them on!

I would have thought there are plenty of kids out there who want a showing/dressage pony. Not all kids are in to jumping and not all ponies/horses like it either.

I don't mean to be rude or for this to be taken the wrong way but you have someone here who is asking about the pony. I understand not wanting to give out someone else's contact details on a forum but do you not have an advert that you can link this poster to? If there is no advert and the owner is expecting to sell the pony on word of mouth, in a recession, going into winter then that may be your reason he's not sold, not because he doesn't jump. If he's as good as you say I'd be very surprised you couldn't sell him to a showing home.

Not to worry.

Just a friend who has a cob of mine looking for a show type pony, either Welsh C or WPB for plaited classes, to run along side showing and do dressage on. Though she's ideally looking for something younger, though again, I'm just presuming he's slightly older from how your post was worded.

If he's just been gelded, can he be turned out with others? Or just alone? I have a sec D that has a massive pole aversion, he manages logs quite well though ;) I used to jump (and will again with the youngster!!) but he's fun enough without jumping. I have to accept that.

Where is he advertised??
