little bags to put over your stirrups , say fleece with a drawstring , so that you can leave the leathers & irons on a saddle & run them up but not risk scratching the saddle??!!

if so pleeease tell me where!

What size stirrups do you have?

would you really?! the stirrups are 4+3/4" sprenger ones

i would happily pay! infact i think there could be a market if you can't already buy them , would be an inexpensive way to protect both saddle & stirrups me thinks?

How about some of those golf club covers - like large mittens with stretchy necks? You can get them like Tigger or Pheasants or Pigs?! Just a thought...

Maybe get a cheap saddle cover - put that on the saddle first and cut some holes in to pull the stirrups through and keep them off the saddle. Then put your nice saddle cover over the top.

Thats prob what i'd do!

It is! I saw them at the horsey fair at Ingliston before Christmas, you can even get your name on them. I can't remember what they are called though, sorry

Well if they work - I'll happily buy some! I'm doing the same with my new amerigo. I have dressage leathers I can't roll up so take them off after each ride!

I don't know if you can still get these but the drawstring washing powder tablet bags are brill for attaching to the saddle for carrying things. You don't need to take your stirrups off the saddle. If they're run up properly and the leather is put through so that the stirrup rests on the stirrup leather, not the flap, it won't mark.
