stretch my long leather boots?

I think I must have eaten too many mince pies at christmas because I don't seem to be able to get them on at all.

They've always been tight but I literally can not pull them on any more ( I don't have zipped ones so I can't even just do them up half way either!)

Does a clever person out there know any secret tricks or am I doomed to having to buy a new pair or even worse, go on a diet!

You can buy spray on shoe stretcher. If you spary it on the inside and then use adjustable boot trees you can get a little more room. If you put the boot trees in upside down then you can stratch the very top. I hadn't worn mine for about a year and had been doing karate during that time an dI managed to get enough room to get them on, though I did begin to loose the feeling in my feet after more than an hour or so.

I used to wear pop socks so that mine slid on more easily. I can't wear them at the moment though because they make my legs go numb after a while! I'm hoping one day I'll be able to get back into them...

I know a company that will stretch them for you. They did mine and also do Household Cavalry as well. Their charges are quite reasonable too.

I am in exactly the same situation as you although somehow I seem to have lost a bit of weight from my calves (and certainly not from anywhere else so this is wierd!)

I can zip my boots up but they are not comfy to wear for a long time, so I am trying tightly rolled towels inside them to see if that will help them stretch - only did it yesterday though so I'm not sure if it's going to work or not!

Penfold, who are the company please? I may be using their services as I love my boots and they are immaculate, and I can't find any others that I like!

First Class Shoe Repairs based in St Pauls Cray, Kent. Tel 020 8300 1960.

Mine were done a few years ago havent used them since due to no horse etc. so probably wont fit at all now. My boots were like that before I sent them off. I could jump in them but couldnt walk in them. Getting on horse was a mission. They do stretching of boots, can fit gussets (which is maybe what mine need doing next), put zips in etc.
