Is it too hot to ride?

Hello,
I’m new here and this is my first post so pls forgive any mistakes
so I live in the highlands where temperatures rarely exceed 20 degrees... I’m trying to get my pony fit after a long spell of. I’m a beginner rider so any help is useful. He is overweight and unfit I’m wondering what temperatures r ok to ride in. We won’t be doing much to begin with. Thx lots

I think you’ll be fine with 20 degrees . In in the southwest we reached mid 30’s and I wouldn’t ride then (for both me and my horse) but I’m happy to ride out in mid 20’s

Definitely ok to ride in 20 degrees. I won't ride in anything higher than 30 degrees.

If you know it's going to be a really hot day get up early and ride first thing in the morning.

It was 27 c here on Sunday and we had a full lesson. With a hose down afterwards! Was tempted to hose myself down as well ? I think you’re good with 20 degrees.
