That by 18 months a horse has reached 95% of it's adult height? Got me thinking reading the posts on Missy being around 16hh at 19 months

and Beau still growing. My filly is about 15.1hh at the withers and 15.3hh at the bum at 16 months old, i was hoping for her to make around 16.1 ish, what do you think?

It's true...but you could always try stunting growth by starving them....or overfeeding them to see if it makes them grow taller?

Well Beau certainly hasnt conformed to that rule Im afraid, it sounds like she could be a bit bigger! I guess a lot does depend on breeding though.

My mare has grown a hand since she was 4. She was bred to be about 14.2 and is now 17.2 at 11. Her mother was a 13.2 dales. She is a bit of a freak though!
