My foal is 7 and a half weeks old. Her mother is a bay ISH and her father a buckskin Welsh Sec B. She was a washed out chestnut colour at birth. She has now developed a white mane - it was originally ginger

have you a newborn photo? Much easier to tell from them usually than once they start moulting

Not sure what colour she will be, just wanted to say my neighbour breeds Welsh section b ponies, and they are always invariably born beige ? he has grey/chestnut/liver chestnut /cremello/palomino mares and sires are either chestnut or liver chestnut

She's now 9and a half weeks and is shedding her top coat. The underneath coat looks a dark golden brown. Does this signify anything re eventual colour?

I think she'll make a good 14hh maybe 14.2. Her mother is 15.2 and father is 13hh. She will be a family pony - mainly for the grandchildren to ride when they/she old enough. We had a foal from Bea 11 years ago and my daughter rides him every day on Salisbury Plain. He's 16hh and a stunner. Maybe we should try to show this one and have a bit of fun.
