After this crazy amount of snow I am really starting to wonder what my chances are of flying out of Gatwick on Saturday morning?

Yep slim as they will send delayed people first! My friend works there and said its really messed up!!! Fingers crossed works out for you!!! Still a few days away!
 
I hope so, as Im sure many people also have, I've worked my butt off to go on holiday this year but am now finding it slightly ironic that my boyfriend decided we should go skiing!!!
 
Have just made it home from Gatwick after 24 hour round trip only to have flight and whole 10 day holiday cancelled. We were told that they do not carry cancelled passengers first and that those booked onto flights take priority over those whose flights are cancelled. We, therefore, had no chance of getting anywhere. Have now received phone call to say that we can claim from our own insurance company as the holiday firm (who are under the same ownership as the airline) will only repay the air fare part of the holiday and not the accommodation. So no holiday and a prolonged fight to get our money back. Mr Branson beware....!
 
my OH is coming home from working abroad next wednesday, and he's gone and booked flights into heathrow then up to manchester...god i hope its ok by then cause he's coming home for a funeral
