Ive tried to keep Gem really fit over the winter (she prefers the softer ground so we try to make the most of it!) and because of her age (20) I also want to prevent her from having to carry too much weight.

I was just wondering if you thought she looked the right weight for a horse her age about to be put onto a field with rich spring grass?

Here she is (i think i was holding the camera a little wonky!)

Not sure if she needs to be lighter??

It wont take her long to expand on the grass... though this year she wont be out 24/7 like last year when she got quite tubby!

I would appreciate any comments!

mine is in about the same condition as yours, you can faintly see the ribs, I'd say she is a 3 in most places so I wouldn't be too worried, maybe just use a weigh tape to monitor his weight through spring!
