Is my tack good enough to compete/show in ?

Hi guys ,

So I have decided to enter a showing class first time in 4 years . I am going away to a large ish championship in a few weeks . Basically my dressage is one day then no class then two on the third day . They had a showing class which I could enter so I did . I found my old show saddle out it fits the horse perfect . However I feel my brown leathers look a little worse for ware just old looking and same for the bridle . I can’t afford to buy new for one class will it be okay . Does old tack matter if it’s clean ?

Of course it doesn’t matter - as long as it is safe, clean and fits

Give it all a good clean, check stitching, I haven't shown for years and years , recently decide to have a go and had to borrow, most of my clothes from fellow liveries, including a showing cane, its surprising what people have that they can lend, I also had lots of help from the HHO crew with my individual show!

Some leather cream on the morning of show will make it look good as new.
