Since a new gelding came into our field, my mare is constantly in heat. She has decked my friend and is really spooky out hacking. She wasn't like this before and I'm worried about riding her. She is an Irish Cob and very good usually. Or should I get a vet out to scan her ovaries and how much does this usually cost?

We just moved our 2 yr old gelding into a 24yr old TB mares field and she totally went into breeding mode!! Squirting, unhandable and awful, so we seperated them, poor boy didn't know what she wanted lol.... you can get supplements etc, worth speaking to your vet if it doesn't settle down
