Why is no-one buying at the moment, I've got a dream horse up for sale and no interest. I know that for his age he hasn't done much but he is truely special, a one in a million. I'd much rather pay for good manners and fabulous personality than for a competition record, so in my humble opinion he is priced ok (I've also done research) but no interest at all. There must still be people out there with money that are buying so where the bloody hell are they???????????

There are, my friend is currently looking! Any chance of PMing me more about you horse and maybe a photo? She is looking for something safe and sane to have RC fun with.

Probably better to PM me, but a little info, she is 14.3hh Welsh D X great temperament, idea for PC/RC but needs confident rider, could be a confident novice, just not for a nervous person.

I just keep getting e mails , asking me for details, so that they can send me a cheque!!! They said it didn't matter they hadn't seen "the goods" as they were sure they were as described!!!

Words fail me! But needless to say they were deleted pronto!!!

Not sure where to advertise only just readvertising due to a complete idiot, but when i was trying to find someone before i spent a fortune on adverts and all i got was time wasters. So where would you suggest remembering i'm on a seriously tight budget.

I find the most popular search places are H&H, Horsedeals, Horsemart and Horsequest.

Horses are selling i know of 4 horses sold near us within the last month or so. I would say youngstock isn't really selling except at the top and bottom ends of price.

We've just bought one, and a lot of horses we enquired about had already sold, so they are selling!! We struggled as buyers to find the right horse for us. We called about and viewed numerous horses and viewed a lot that were not as described, nor would have passed a vet. We eventually went to a breeder and bought from there.

Just sold 2 of mine, one to the first person that came to see her, and the gelding to a well known sjer. So yes they are still selling but they have to be priced right.

I am looking, not seen anything in last 3 weeks though to even go view. I know that's not long but I really get fed up when there's nothing around. Your horse is a bit big for me; I'm wanting to get something around 15-15.2hh that is a safe mw/hw good hacking horse with ability to do low level dressage/jumping. I usually look on horsemart, horsequest, h&h and horse deals.

Siennamum - so quick feedback on your ad. Please note this is meant to be kind and helpful not snotty!

Firstly picture does not do her justice at all. If you have one with a less fussy background use that and crop it so more horse, less background. Or even crop the one you are using.

Then first things people look at are price and the first few words of blurb. So they think they're paying £4K for a hack, it doesn't look a good deal, sorry.

16.3hh Tbx mare 7yrs. Primitive Rising lines, lovely paces. Perfect RC horse. Jumps ditches, into water etc. Absolutely bombproof hack, never bucks, rears or gets strong. Safe, sensible but not boring! Good to do in all ways, very easy to handle. Fit & sound. Must sell due to financial situation £4,000 ono

Even that small wording change grabs the attention more.

Good luck with finding her a nice home.

That's really useful, don't worry, feedback is welcome. Sadly it's not my horse & I haven't written the ad. It's in tomorrow so too late to change this time, but shall make these suggestions to the owner & see if we can make changes for next time.

Sorry, I have to agree with Jemima_Too. The wording of the ad is pretty off-putting

. Too many negative images.

J_T's version makes ned sound much more interesting
