Is she fat or pregnant

Hi all this is my first post and it's probably been asked 1000s of times before lol this is a mare of a friend of mine who was served by a stallion on the 23rd of August last year. Her owner says she has never seen her this larger in 16 years. She has had one foal at the age of 2. Do you think she is just fat or in foal. Fyi no bag or vulua changes as of today but was the same first time round. The foaled unexpectedly

Impossible to tell from 1 badly angled photograph. Did she scan in foal last year?

Are you in UK? It’s prob just the photo quality but she doesn’t look to be in a full summer coat there. Almost looks like a coat coming out of winter so was wondering if it’s a recent photo

Unfortunately not scanned due to our location and no we a in new Zealand. ?

I have no experience and can't help but if you can provide a bit more info maybe someone more experienced will be able to help.

Can you get more pictures from the back or front, of both sides to see the extent of any bulging tummy and to look to see if it's even on both sides. A picture of the udder so those more experienced can look for any more subtle signs.

Do you know when she last had a season?
