Is she pregnant?

We got a 12month old English springer in June and she had her first season at the end of July, she is now looking a little plumper around the belly area and her teets are swallon. She has gone from being very independant to being really clingy to me now.

The vet has a had a feel and says that she isnt, but she is getting bigger!

Any pics? Did you see or hear her tie with a dog? Have you had her scanned? End of July to end of Sept....Can you see anything move or feel anything?

Phantom perhaps?

She may well be having a phantom pregnancy. Both our young patterdales had little phamtoms 1 even produced a bit of watery milk!!

But if she was out of your sight at all when she was in season (Well usually for approx 7 days after she has stopped bleeding) she may well have been mated by a dog!! If in doubt I would get her scanned by the vet!

Sorry I meant end of august. So if she is that would make her due date end of Oct?

I didnt hear them tie but what had them in seperate kennels that are next to each other!

Friend had 2 springers in adjacent kennels (brother and sister) who managed to 'do the deed'. they produced 5 healthy pups!

Sounds like she is pregnant and yes, end of October, beginning of November it looks like you may have some puppies on your hands.

i think i'd get a scan asap, at least you;ll know for sure then and can get her on the right diet etc.and prepared for pups if necessary!!
