well Rio came with a spanish exercise saddle and i dont really have a use for it any more... Rio will never go into showing as he has far too many scars so its just going to sit there and go mouldy :(

but i dont really see any point in paying for adverts to go up if they dont sell anyway

if not i will keep it and use it for hacking out in or something its no skin off my nose as it came with him so im not loosing money keeping it :)

so do they actually sell? or shall i just keep it?

I have a Spanish horse and show. I would be interested and so would many people on BAPSH. Why don't you post there?

I have a spanish boy and always keep an eye out for stuff around, although dont need a saddle at present unfortunatly. I wouldnt say ebay was the best for saddles unless your willing to accept a low price for it, see quite a lot come up for auction around the 3-£400 mark and more often than not they dont sell, think theres one on at the moment at that price which retails around £800 but would be quite suprised if it sold. Best place as prev mentioned is probably the bapsh site, although wont be a quick sell its free if your a memeber and you'll get it sold for a reasonable price eventually. Another option to try is a facebook page called something like 'spanish tack for sale or swap'. Its only been up a few months and you can post anything on there for free, so any of the members will see it. Has worked for a coupld of people so worth a try, will also keep my ear to the ground if anyone needs one that i hear of.

tbh the sheepskin, crupper, breastplate and even the bridle will prob do ok on ebay, depending on there condition and how much you start the auctions at. You may well find someone just starting out and wanting the whole set but id say theyre few and far between and you'll get more selling indivividually, you may well find on ebay esp though people will want a couple of things and offer you a buy it now price. The saddle is harder as from what ive heard theyre not easy to ride in and dont put you in a great position, so the majority of those looking will be the ones like me that do the tack and dress classes. I dont know anyone that rides in them at home on a regular basis!
You could prob test the water at around £300 on ebay i reckon, would get some interest and if it doesnt sell will only cost pennies.

okay i will have to think about what i want for everything at tbh im not sure  and the saddle really isnt easy to ride in at all its fine if the horse is a complete fruit loop and you dont want to fall off... or if you want to weigh the horse down as they weigh a ton but you cant trot or anything comfortably in them and you certainly cant move!

lol, yep that pretty much sums them all up tbh, ive never properly ridden in one but been told its much harder to ride in than a dressage saddle as you just cant move! Theyre also very hard to get a good fit in my experince, i tried 3 sizes of the same saddle on my last stallion and none of them were right, they were wide enough just didnt sit level and i felt perched about 12inches off his back! My new boy has been a nightmare to fit a standard dressage saddle too so not even gonna bother wasting my money attempting to get one to fit him:D
If you want to send me some pics and descriptions of the stuff youve got for sale feel free to pm me, am not an expert but have bought quite a lot over the last 3 years so have a fair idea what sort of money you could be aiming for.
