A tack swapping website? Could also be used for horse swapping/pony swapping.

Would be free for 6 months and then once it had a reputation would be about £5 to register....

Like to know what you guys think - just fed up paying out money for new tack etc when you buy a new horse when the majority of us have rugs etc that are sat doing nothing.

It would work like a dating website in that it would be an introductionary website and the sellers would have to sort logistics out between them.

There are a few sites out there but don't seem to have been aggresively marketed so fall at the first hurdle...
 
I have wondered (in my more idle moments) whether it would be possible to start something like that via a facebook group, purely for ease. But then again I dont know much about facebook and its capabilities.

Id certainly be interested in that sort of thing, because you accumulate so much stuff and each time you progress, or get a new horse, you find you never have the stuff you need. Id also be willing to pay a nominal fee to register.
 
Interesting. TBH, we have all the skills to raise a good webby for nothing - would just be something that myself and another HHO could do in our spare time, and who knows!

Just be nice to offer this service as I for one would use it!
 
Yes, A very good idea. I have preveiously seen this on another forum. It does work, although you do need to make it should an order go wrong, that you are not responsible.
 
Yes I would say there is definately a market for it we all must have a shed load of tack and rugs sitting there doing nothing. I know I have when I've been on a impulse buy and never used the thing.

Great idea in principle.

Nice idea but I think Ive seen it done before but on the quiet side, if you were going to do it you'd probably need to spend a lot in advertising.

And I doubt many would pay for it... I wouldnt pay £5 but then I refuse to pay for any "service" type thing online! Most websites like this would probably remain free but make their money in company advertisers.
