I notice generally and today in particular certain threads, whcih fall into 2 groups
1. young horses being made to do too much and ridden by very fat people who are too heavy for them. [poor things]Their owners cant see a problem.
2. Owners of other horses stressing about making everything perfect deciding optimum vit/mins/nutrition/work/barefoot or not. Most of these horses are probably ok but we like to tweek things to get it even better [ I am in this catagory]

Yep there is a middle ground I like to think I fall into it - although i've got a 5 year old and i'm voluptuous! However I do worry about nutrition and my boys get all manner of stuff and are barefoot :D

So where do I stand - not sure?

Just to add i'm voluptuous but then my boy is a HW - so I assume that is forgivable!

I too have a youngster and am, err, "Rubenesque". He will be broken in at 3.5yrs by myself, in my size 16, 13.5 stone glory. I might add that he's 3 in March and stands at a chunky 16hh already. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he'll make 17hh and will take me to county level as a MW show hunter. Well, we can all dream!

I like to think I'm somewhere in the middle. Then again I wouldn't dream of calling in the equine aromathrapist/ herbal healer/ animal psychic. So maybe I'm leaning more towards being the fatty with the young horse...
