Ok so have my ticket in my sweaty paw but I'm a bit confuddled that there appears to be zilch other than the arena, food stalls and one 2012 shop of which I'm sure will be a rip off prices.
Anyone any the wiser??

Still waiting to receive my tickets but my understanding is that there is no shopping village - just a limited number of (overpriced?) food outlets.

Oh poo, I was looking forward to some retail therapy before the main event! Guess I'll have to look elsewhere for that!!
I've read the rules about what you can and can't take into the area and you are very limited. 'apparently' there is 'free' water, I'll believe that when I see it!!

No shops.
In greenwich itself there is the usual maacdonalds, subway, weatherspoons and several nice bars that also serve food that you could use as an alternative to what will be in the park.

Guys trust me....having been to the test event on cross country day by the time u have got across London and thru security into the park u will neither want to into Greenwich to get food nor go shopping! I will be interested to hear how it goes....however slow and congested it remains a once in a lifetime experience
