Is there any rubber matting that doesnt let wee seep underneath?

I recently moved my boy and relaid the rubber, but the wee pools in a corner and then under the front of the stable in a small pond!
Even daily sweeping the stable was beginning to niff till I took it all out and just have him bedded up on straw.

I like the theory of the rubber matting but just cant cope with the pond or the smell!

Any suggestions?

You should take a look at aquamax bedding... its pellets thatyou add water to and it turns into shavings . I put them down neat on the floor where my horse wees and - once I got quantities sorted - I now have a very dry stable and all the advantages of rubber matting!! Recommend it highly!!

I have the same problem and the only way I can deal with it is to sweep under the mats every day..it hard work and takes time but once you get in the routine of doing it and you know where the wet patches are its fairly easy, I'm thinking of saving up and getting my stable resurfaced in the summer when he is living out but for now, I'm sweeping under them every day!

Megazorb works like a sponge .I use it under my shavings if I need to deep litter and I have seen it used on rubber matting it works well.

I have liquid rubber floor and one on mats.
Both will collect wee puddles. I put down extra shavings where they collect to stop it running out.
The wet has got to go somewhere so you either have to put down more shavings on the bed or on the edge of the mats.

You need to make sure your flor is level and that it slants slightly towards the door so that any excess we runs out of the stable into the gutter outside the door.
