I dont know if there is anything.I am half an hour from there and The local "Whats on" magazine is usually in my local shop so I will have a look and see.Does the hotel have to be in Kilkenny.What about Carlow Wench?
I have looked at the ones in Carlow as well, they seem to be busy as well (or the really expensive ones that I really am not paying for!)
Think I will end up staying in Youghal, get a really nice hotel room for 39 euros; by the time I've added the fuel on, it will probably end up being the same as staying in Kilkenny/Carlow. Added bonus I have been to Youghal on numerous occasions, and know where I am going!
