I'm just trying to gauge interest at this moment in time (no advertising dont worry!) - how many of you lovely folks would be interested in (or know someone that might be interested in) hiring a groom/helper when you go out competing?

A little about me - I currently groom on weekends at a dressage yard for an international grand prix rider, however the journey is a bit of a trek and I struggle with the lack of flexibility (I work full time during the week so working Saturdays and Sundays every weekend makes it hard to fit in family events, competing etc).

Hence why I'm thinking about going freelance as a groom/helper, in particular for those people that go to shows and need an extra pair of hands. Not sure how much to charge for this (any suggestions welcome) and I have my own transport so could easily travel around the Midlands and other border counties (Oxfordshire / Gloucestershire etc). I'm based in Solihull so I thought any travel to local venues (Solihull and Swallowfield) would be free as they are so close to my house, but then further afield I'd charge a small fee to cover petrol costs.

Any opinions and advice welcome - very interested to hear if there is a market for this kind of service!
