Ok, question for you competition folk.

I have a horse (won't describe him incase seen as advertising) who is doing prelim dressage.
Actually, did his first after moving from intro and won it, with a good amount of other competitors, many more experienced than my lad.

I am going to get him jumping in the next few weeks.

So, is there any people out there that take horses on to compete, without me having to pay an arm and a leg? Do competition riders loan horses ever or often?

If anyone wants details I can pm them, just curious as to whether this type of agreement exists.

Thanks in advance.

depends who you can find I think.

A friend previously competed up to fox with her nutter of a mare.. and can manage some decent flatwork too ;)

she has recently taken on loan (last year) a 14.1 pony which is a little too much for its child owner, they are now competing BE90. It works all round as she can't really afford her own, is having a complete blast as pony not too complicated and the owners are getting free schooling and take her to comps as it is all good for them.
