What type/breed is your horse?

I can't use Weatherbeeta on my lightweight horses because they are too big around the neck (which is very annoying because I now have a lovely WB Taka that is reduced to being my emergency spare ).

Yes they are no fill and are shower proof but mine did leak in torrential rain, but to be fair they are summer rugs.
If you need a proper waterproof rug go for something 1200d plus.
As for fit, fitted my TB well but not my cob

I bought an amigo 600D LW last winter and it kept my pony bone dry, no leaks at all

Hi , if WB rugs are too big in the neck go for Horseware rugs as they are neat around the neck , Amigo have the traditional twin chest clips , Rhino and Rambo have a wrap a round type of neck with the V twin clip fastenings which again are great for neater horses ( I have TB's and they are perfect ) , and I think Horseware are the only company that guarentee waterproofness !

Depends what shape your beastie is ? TB , cob ??? Narrow types Horseware are perfect , Medium/average shape Weatherbeeta are good , anything thats abit broader Shires rugs are good , if you have a really broad beastie Masta or Kingshead as they are really generous across the chest . Lightweight turnouts may not stop really heavy rain getting thru tho.

Sizing wise found the landa was a bit tighter round the neck/chest than my Taka and the WB stable rugs I have.

Yes, I have found Horseware to be a good fit. Bucas rugs are also good for my girls.

My landa freestyle is not waterproof in heavy rain.

I was just about to order a Rambo but now I'm worrying about the chest room. Do they do chest inserts for the wug no-fill?

You might need to go up a size with Horseware rugs. My mare has 6ft Bucas but needs 6ft3 Amigo/Rhino/Rambo.

yup my welsh boy (who isnt that chunky in front) has rhinos/rambos. The v-neck versions are great on his shoulders, they pull forwards slightly which stops them getting tight but does mean you might want to go up a size.
They sit well on mums v skinny chested anglo but she def doesn't need a size bigger!

I like the Landa Freestyle Lite rug but it's not the best quality of rug in terms of long lasting'ness (sp?!)

If you can afford it and it fits okay around the neck, I'd recommend the Amigo 1200 in the light version. Again, not the Amigo 600 as it's not as waterproof but the 1200 one is great.
