Thats where I was getting all confused ester and clyesdale thanks for that. Oh well will either have to get a new dressage legal one or the Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge Baucher. Or in my muppet terms Neue Schule hanging cheek :D

the port does actually make the action quite different, I have both and there is much more movement in the ported mouthpiece whereas the straight mouthpiece becomes like a mullen after a certain amount of pressure.

I like your muppet terms ;) :D Mine actually goes as well in his loose ring snaffle as he has done in mylers :D

Definately not as it has a liberty.

It's a real shame that dressage 'powers that be' don't take into account that all this does is take the pressure off the horses tongue, making it a lovely kind bit.

My Clydesdale having a big tongue loves this type of bit.

I just wish my pony could tell me which bit he likes best.

He did go well in his bog standard hanging cheek untill he found out that he could run through it and looking at his mouth the bit he has in a the min is a little on the fat side for him. He opens his mouth and does not listen to me!!!

RI has lent me her combination myler and pony loves the bit as it's a lot thiner, I'm now playing guess which bit to use after we have finished with the combination :)

PS I really don't like playing the guess the bit I like today game :(

No sorry I've not - I'm in New Zealand so don't get to hear much about Aussie horses. I love my Clydesdale she is such an awesome horse, fun to ride and easy to look after - apart from trying to keep her weight down!

same as my mare was only asking as he is my mares full brother :) my mare was ment to be shipped down to australia to the same stud but i managed to buy her before i just love there temprament and size :)

I had imagined the bit that is used on the horse I ride would not be dressage legal as it is a Western bit, but it looks quite similar, so do you think it would be ok? (Just local prelim/intro)
(Not meaning to hyjack the thread but it was such a similar bit! Hope you don't mind me asking!:o)
