Is this bit like a waterford?

Not looking to buy it but was browsing ebay and tumbled across it. Never seen a bit like this before!

Hmm I thought waterfords had like little balls along them. That looks more like some french links

Never seen that before.

Thats what I thought - it says it's made up of 3 french links, but I can't quite figure out its purpose! Is the loop on the bit ring to add leverage also?

\from what i can see the metal bit in the ring is just for design and looks - all metalab bits seem to have it!

i think that would be slightly sharper than a waterford, because the links would poke into the tongue and roof of mouth more... would be more emphatic about stopping them leaning, i think.
