Is this for real?

Call me cynical but the second caption says "After using ****-*** for 3 days!", it doesn't say that it was taken 3 days after the first photo! So the hair growth could have taken months then they've just rubbed the product on for 3 days?! As I said maybe I'm just an old cynic . . . .

hmmm i have to admit im suspicious, seems to good to be true.
I waded thru the feedback for people who have brought it and one of them said their horse grew 2 inches of mane in two weeks after 5 months of being without any mane.

Id like to hear from anyone who has tried it.

I hate to say it but I've heard very very good things about this stuff. Also from my own experience I've used cornucresine (I know it's totally different stuff) but i've used it on a bald patch and within literally 4 days the hair was completely recovered. I'm not exagerating someone else from the yard commented on it as well as they saw the cut before and after and coudldn't believe it. He had a nick on his back leg and quite literally it went from skin to hair covered that quickly.

I'm not saying this megatec stuff is as good but i've heard very good things about the megatec hair stuff when used on sweet itch horses.

Ditto, was just thinking that myself!

Ok so its probably not THAT good, not after 3 days, but i've heard a lot of people say its REALLY really good and really does promote rapid hair growth!!! Think there was a thread on rubbed manes on Stable Yard and they were discussing it.

I believe the Tailgator is a regular user of the forum (might've changed her name though) you could just ask her

2" mane growth in 3 weeks? Full recovery of coat in 3 days? If it's that good why doesn't Elton John rub it onto his head?

If something appears too good to be true it normally is....I think that this falls into this category. If everyone tried this out just once to see if it works & it didn't the makers would be very pleased....& very rich. I see one desperate sucker has bid on it!

WOW, no idea, but I have used the Micro-Tek (I think that's how it's spelt) for rainscald and the like and that's fab.

A few after clipping my horse will have a nicey downy sheen to the coat, where there is just the start of regrowth and any clipper marks have gone. So I imagine it could well be possible for some regrowth. When I showed poodles, faces were clipped on a wednesday with a 40 blade (surgical) for just the right amount of regrowth by a Saturday show!

Wonder does it work on bald men?

Rubbing in Cornuscrescine is a waste of time. The only good is that the massaging appears to stimulate hair growth. It is also very messy. Megatek is brilliant. We get through bottles of the damn stuff. You DO see a difference within a few days. The lady that sells the stuff does not usually make claims she cannot back up, so I wouldm't bet that it is a fake photo. And yes, she is a member of HHO although I cannot remember her user name. And several people on here have used her products, not just me!!! She has other amazing products, but megatek is the best.

I'd say same horse but a different time scale - may megatek was used for only three days but how long before they started using it? The pointer for me is that the horse seems to have put on a considerable amount of weight between the two pictures.

I'm not doubting that it helps - but I do think if it produces that much hair in three days you'd need to wash your hands carefully after using it!

Hello

In answer to your questions..

1) Is the picture photoshopped, no it is not and it is the same horse in both the pictures. The photos come from EQyss so I don't have the contact information for the lady that took them. If I did then I would ask her to post here

2) "Def not true! more like 3months!" Hair growth from a clipped coat is a lot faster growing than hair growth from an injury (be it just a surface injury) Clipped coats will recover faster, if you have a scrape where the horse is down to its skin, as the hair has been ripped out then it will take time for the hair to regenerate before you will see it at the surface. (If you think of waxing your legs versus shaving them - in a few days if you shave them you will feel stubble where as if you wax them they will be smoother for longer) If you look on the testimonials (page eight of the blue screen) http://www.tailgator.co.uk/eqyssequine.html then you will see a horse that had an injury grow back the hair in a couple of weeks. The patch grown back looks very different from the clipped out hair as it is new hair rather than just a longer clipped coat (black rather than grey) I haven't updated the testimonials yet but I have another from a lady using it 7 days prior to a big show to get her horses coat back again.

You might like to as Theresa on here, she uses it on her horse, and seems quite happy with it. http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthreaded.php/Cat/0/Number/1468870/page//vc/1

I will let you know if Elton John is the winning bid, but I doubt it as baldness is caused by a mixture of genetics and hormones that we have very little control of. If there is no hair then there is no help to grow what is not there.

Also just so you know

all of our products are covered by a money back guarantee. It says so at the top of the link I have just posted. So if it didn't work for someone like they had expected then they are refunded. We have been selling the products for over a year and as yet no one has returned any, or said that it didn't work for them. Some horses do grow slower manes and tails than others.

I hope that has helped to answer any questions that you have. Of course I am not asking you to buy it, but just thought I would point out that the people that have seem happy enough with it

Happy New Year to you all .. even Elton if he is reading this

To be honest I would try it if it was a bit cheaper. My mare has lost some of her mane due to a full neck rug and would love to give it a go to see if it works. Hmmm, maybe when I'm not so poor... lol
