Is this horse worth a look?

I think shes worth a look, she seems to be well produced judging by the photos. Whether they will take an offer will depend on how much they need to sell, they may rather keep her and do some competing and try again in the spring.

Have to say she is a beaut... I'd love to snap her up too lol but maybe a tad over priced?... considering the market these days.... so you never know they may knock down some... surely can't hurt to ask can it.

I disagree with the 'it's a buyers market'. When you are a buyer, and are actually out there viewing, you soon realise that the quality horses, are not going especially cheaply.

Going from the advert (and you can never really make a judgement until you see the horse in the flesh and watch how it moves) but on the face of it she seems well priced to me, and they probably wouldn't drop that unless they struggle to sell as quick as they want.

I'm looking for a horse for my husband. It will be his first horse, so I want a totally safe, allround schoolmaster who's sound - This seems to be as rare as rocking horse poo, and it's also what so many other people are looking for too.

def worth a look
im sure you could get her for 3k

Its hard for us to say she she is *well* over priced as they dont have her parents history .

I don't think she is that over priced. quality horses are still holding a good price .

my boy is 15 h palomino in my sig his great grandfather is HOLLYWOODS GOLD which puts ex bloodline so more expensive than a not so well known sire.

She looks lovely. Id probably pay £3250 for her but not £4k. As others has said bloodlines etc make a difference but thats just personally what I think she would be worth to me from the info/pics :)

If it wasn't a mare i'd have it now! Looks lovely, worth a visit i think.

LOL as it is A MARE i WOULD HAVE HER IN A SNAP. if it were a gelding i wouldnt be interested i only buy mares the only gelding i have ever had is my palomino in my sig and he is a git.

My two angels in heaven were mares and my 4 in sig are mares

As I said depends on her bloodline a good bloodline will be worth more .I love her colour!!!

2500 prob wont get you as nice a horse she looks like she had a good jump pretty to the eye . I am sure you can haggle .

I would def ask for her bloodline as like duns palominos are not as common over 15.2.

depends what you want I personally would normally only buy duns or palominos

I've just had another look - for some reason I thought she was on at 3k, not 4k. I think there is room for you to haggle down from 4k.

I also think there are regional variations in what horses are selling for. If she was for sale in Hertfordshire I think she'd sell easily for near her asking price, as I know people who've paid more, recently for horses of a similar age and type. However Cumbria may be a different market.

I don't like her conformation or colour ... but I do like her pop! I do think she is overpriced (should be around 2.5k I think) but that's understandable as people will take advantage of her being a colour that many people like. Depending on what you want to do with her then yes I think she's worth a lookie.

Is no one else worried about those feet?!?

And for me the phrase home broken doesnt bode well! The last home broken one I had was home broken by a complete muppet! He had severe problems, caused by completely incompetent handling/border line abuse and it cost nearly 2k to sort him out. Thankfully hes now a gem, but its not something I'd ever want to go through again!

They are a professional yard/stud, I think they bought her unbroken and brought her on. What do you think is up with her feet?

Thanks for all the comments have taken them in, I will keep looking and possibly ring up tomorrow if she is still for sale! :D

4yrs on horsemart, 3yrs on website? Either someone has got the age wrong on one, or she's been for sale for a while!

Personally, overpriced agree with SpringFeather on conformation, not for me :)

But again, you are paying for the colour.

Go see her, if she's for you, then offer your £3000 and see what they say, you can always go up, but not down! They might be desperate to sell, or they might not, either way you can negotiate.

I'd look at other things of a similar age/height/type though, you can probably get a lot more for that money which isn't pally!

I think she seems nice, I also think people on here seem to way under estimate the prices of horses. Every thread I look on when people asking this question I see on £2k or £3k, personally I have never seen any decent horses priced at that ESP from a dealer. I think that's a fair price for a nice youngster from a dealer. If she is what your looking for , then go for it. This buyers Market is nonsense certainly where I am from horses are selling well. Decent young ones get snapped up.

Shes up for £5000 on the website and they dont seem to advertise any of their others online, other than their own website. They do say they are overstocked and seem to keep their horses a while usually, so might still be worth a look! :)

I also think it depends on the area you live in, there are a lot of quality horses at bargain price if you look, people are practically giving horses away at the moment if you know where to look, I know of horses that have been for sale for a year or more and not because there is anything wrong with them, its because people just havent got the money but again it all depends on where you live. I've been around horses for 40 years and never paid a lot of money because I've never had the money to spend but have enjoyed great success with my some of my bargain ponies that I still own !!

May be worth a look - with a maximum price in your head that you're prepared to pay.

I'm also not 100% sure about her conformation - but it could be the photos. BUT she sounds like a super horse from the description - and if she's everything they say she is then worth the asking price imo.

aww she looks lovely :) even though she may be out of your budget, she's definitely worth a look and if you really like her, you may be able to haggle a little bit ;)
