Remember my thread ages ago about how my OH's eldest staff (she's 5) has lost a lot of weight to the point where my OH took her to the vet. He tried everything to help her gain weight but to no avail, the vet weighed her and said she was the perfect weight for her breed and size.
OH's sister has a very wide range of pets, including some hens which she keeps outside in their own enclosure and OH's dogs have been to her house many, many times, sometimes overnight when OH has been really busy with work.
OH's sister told us that the staff had got into the enclosure, attacked a hen and actually eaten most of it which OH was surprised at, he said it's not the first time she's done it but it is the first time she's eaten any of it.
This isn't to say she gets in there every time she is at his sisters house, it's rare, but she has done it before.
Is this something to be worried about? OH is worried about the fact that she's got a hearty appetite yet puts on no weight. As she's not my dog and I have no experience of Staffs, I am pretty clueless about this, including whether it's something to worry about. He wants to take her back to the vet, but the vet didn't seem concerned when we took her about 3 weeks ago or so.
Vino and chocs for getting to the end.
