"Poor old sod had to suffer the indignity of being shoved in the slammer! I hope he wasn't banged up with a local sheep-shagger (I'm told there's quite a few of them on Exmoor) because if he was he may find it rather uncomfortable to sit on his horse for the next week or so."

But he's not a criminal until he's convicted.

I just wonder whether your a little partisan here endy.

You think it's fine to claim that a lot of homosexual sheep shaggers live on exmoor. I just wonder whether that has anything to do with your views on hunting.

What if someone made that comment and the victim of the rape was going to be a child. How would that make you feel.

Rape is rape. It is disgusting and no laughing matter.

Gloating over 'criminals' getting raped does not make it any 'better'.

What? I've not even commented on what Karl said yet!! Dont put words into my mouth Giles.

I'm asking these q's as i have no idea who this man is or what he has done, whether its hunt related or not. or whether he has been convicted or not. Why wont anyone tell me, are you ashamed of him?

Apologies, I assumed you had voted no.

The statement regards a hunt master being raped by one of the 'quite a few' homosexual sheep shaggers that apparently live on exmoor.

I'd have thought this statement is both offensive and deliberately made to cause offense. I'm surprised that Karl can't own up to it.

I sometimes deliberately offend people, I'm perfectly happy to admit when I do, in fact I consider it to be my right.

Arrggghh! I want to know what the huntmaster has supposed to have done!

And just to be honest, i dont find these comments offensive. If they were directed at me I would laugh and i have many gay friends and I also respect sheep, hehe!

However, i can understand how someone else may be offended by them.

Never mind, endy, he's a past master at making things up about what someone was supposed to have said. He's a liar and a hypocrite so don't expect a rational discussion.

In writing on a forum it is possibly not the wisest thing to say and will undoubtedly offend someone. Best kept to pub banter perhaps... I can't quite see the connection between a sheep-shagger and someone who is likely to shag a prisoner, but maybe I am missing some subtle point.

Did you read any of the insults I directed at Karl?

I was quite pleased with some of them.

DOH?

The most common criminal offence a huntmaster is arrested for seems to be assault.

So this huntmaster has been arrested for illegal hunting? But not yet convicted?

If you say so. If that's the case , then it's not too dissimilar to the LACS goons.

Dude?

One of the accused was stationary nearby. One of the accused was flushing with two hounds and probably went a bit to far. Another member of the hunt pulled up the hounds straight away.

2 X £500 fines and lets get back to hunting.

No one cares about that.

The problem with this case is the relations the police have with the people they are supposed to protect in the future.

Nearly everyone here is guilty in some way.

Throwing senior members of the local community in the cells is going to be a bit devisive around here.

But that is what you want.

Tel me, where do you live approximately?

I dont want people jailed, I dont want hunts to break up, I dont want this small part of rural culture to suffer. I want people to hunt legally.

When it comes to hunting the police should protect all involved, hunters, sabs and wildlife. It their job.

I was born and raised in Aberdeenshire, have lived around Scotland, for past 2/3 yrs been a Londoner but also have a room in Essex (location a secret im afraid!!) that ive rented for the past 2 yrs and live there sporadically to carry out any field work, as and when really.
