Is this Roach Backed or just Underweight??

This is an unhandled colt. Don't know age I'm afraid. Not mine, I hasten to add! Just curious as I haven't really seen a roach backed horse before.

Would you say he is roach backed or just the fact that he is underweight, lack of muscle that is causing it??

I'd say he's just underweight - the very best way to spot all those conformation defects!

I don't think the youngster in your picture is particularly roach backed. He'd look a difference horse with conditioning and correct muscling up.

So he could turn into a stunner eh?!?! He's only £250 too!! Don't tempt me! Actually just seen he is 2 years old. I don't fancy a 2 year old unhandled colt!! Think he might be a bit set in his ways.

The likelihood of this horse turning into a "stunner" would seem to be quite small. Depending on your definition of same, of course.....
