I've been given a rug - a Rambo which I haven't had before - and I don't know if it is a turnout or stable rug? No tell-tale mud on it and it's been cleaned within an inch of its life. The old owner can't remember so I thought I'd pick the brains of the establishment :D Its a purple check with green running through it, in a sort of textured seersucker type of fabric.

I'm coming down on the side of turnout...

Thanks everyone :)

Fairly good way of telling is to look at the lining, if it goes right down to the binding at the bottom edge it is usually a stable rug but if the lining ends before the edge and there is a strip of bare material it is usually a turn out rug.

Outdoor- usually if there is a seam down the spine it is an indoor, not found here on turnouts in case of leaking. This is an older rug, they did this pattern about 5-8 years ago but they are grand rugs that go on forever!
