Your thoughts please:

Would an old, quite tatty, narrow, Falcon leather saddle (black, 16" or so) be worth selling on eBay or would I be better off donating to a horse charity for their sales? (am thinking which is least hassle, packing up and sending off for not much money or driving a few miles and giving away). I'm also thinking not much demand for small, narrow so would it be a burden on said horse charity?

Thanks

I've tried to sell some of my old saddles. I keep being offered around the £50 mark, even for my Barnsby, which although it's old, is in good condition, but for £50 I'd rather keep them, as they do hold nice memories for me.

worth listing on e-bay for 7 days, then if it doesn't sell see if a local charity would like it.
Could also put a card up in local tack shop?

It is free listing this weekend so if it does not sell you have not lost the listing fee. Advertise in tack shops etc, if it does not sell i am sure your local charity would be delighted to recieve it.

i had an old barnsby v narrow saddle - really suited high withered narrow TB's...
i gave it to a local saddler who has 100's of 2nd hand saddles to sell and he managed to still get £250 for it for me!
it did take a year or so but he said once the right horse comes along for it then it'd be perfect for it - but it did take a bit of time to fine said horse lol!
