Just me being paranoid again but an alert. My friend bought my ned a cheap metal bling browband with pretend rubies in it. I put it on ned's bridle. Friend took ned for the yard Xmas Eve ride (I was in the middle of the Atlantic on a Xmas/New Year cruise) and the bloody thing broke on the ride and swung down and I believe caught ned in the eye with the sharp metal edge. The rider had to yank it off from the saddle and finish the ride with no browband. Two days later ned's eye goes cloudy and that's that start of the 6 month battle that ended up with my horse losing an eye. Not saying the browband in the e-Bay ad is cheap but do be careful with metal browbands that could break and swing down and catch your horse in the eye with sharp, jagged metal. Too late after it's happened.
